Laurent BannockLaurent is one of the UK’s leading performance nutrition practitioners. He is a Certified Sports Nutritionist (with Honours) with the International Society for Sports Nutrition (ISSN), as well as being on their advisory board & the UK Ambassador – Laurent is the program director for the ISSN Diploma in Applied Sports & Exercise Nutrition post graduate program. Laurent was the first person in ISSN history to be awarded ‘Certified with Honours’ (CISSN-H).
He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), and a Certified Anthropometrist (level 1) with the International Society for the Advancement of Kinathropometry (ISAK).
Laurent’s graduate education includes a Master of Science in Exercise Science & Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania (USA), and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Huntington College of Health Sciences (Tennessee, USA). He is currently pursuing a professional doctorate (DProf) in Health Sciences with a focus on Sports & Exercise Nutrition at the University of Westminster (London, UK) from September 2014, where he is also a visiting lecturer on their Master of Science in Sports & Exercise Nutrition program.
With over 20 years experience in nutrition and strength & conditioning, including 10 years in the USA, Laurent has worked with a wide variety of clients including business executives, children, celebrities & olympians.
Laurent is currently the performance nutrition consultant to top premier league team Bath Rugby, and was formerly team nutritionist to London Irish, London Scottish, and London Broncos professional rugby teams. He is also the sports scientist and nutritionist to Jimi Manuwa, the current UFC undefeated light heavyweight) and Cory Tait (current UCMMA Bantamweight Champion). He was also sports nutritionist to Danny Williams (former British Heavyweight Boxing Champion), during his last 2 successful title fights.
He is the founder & director of performance Nutrition at Guru Performance LTD, specialising in weight management & performance nutrition to the general public and professional athletes. Guru Performance LTD are also the performance Nutrition consultants to Aston Villa Football Club Academy.
