[VLOG] Are you eating too many nuts?

For many of those who move from a diet high in processed foods and low in nutrients to eating a diet based on more single-ingredient whole foods, the joy that snacking on various nuts and nut butters brings is obvious.

So please forgive when I say something that some of you are not going to want to hear.

Those healthy, natural, ‘paleo-friendly’ nuts you’re consuming may be working AGAINST you. Let me explain…

In this video I discuss three potential problems that can arise from eating too much of what might otherwise be a healthy snack: nuts (and nut butters).

  1. Energy/caloric density
  2. omega 6 content
  3. phytic acid content
